Planning A Tournament

The Budgetball Tool Box is intended to help you coordinate all aspects of a Budgetball Tournament. We hope you will find these tools helpful and will use them to build a successful Budgetball Tournament. The Tool Box includes six sections:

1. Getting Started

Good program implementation starts with good planning. The Tool Box includes a Budgetball planning guide and other tools to help you get organized early and often. The Getting Started section also includes a presentation for you to use throughout your Budgetball design and implementation phases.

2. Sponsorship, Media, and Outreach

As you build community support, this section is targeted to help you solicit prize donations, refreshments, and media attention. The section includes sample letters, newsletter articles, and other tools to assist you.

3. Marketing Your Event

To assist you with developing slick posters and banners, this section of the tool kit includes print ready graphics so that all you have to do is plug your event information in—and print. The tool box also includes additional logos and art work for your use during outreach.

4. Tournament Logistics

Successful tournaments require good organization. This section of the tool kit includes sample tournament structures, volunteer assignment sheets, waivers, and other tools you will need for successful organization of your tournament.
