The National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) is working with the government to try and find a solution to this problem. To better educate the public on the crisis the Academy has come up with Budgetball as a means of educating young people, and the general public, about economics.

In order to accomplish this they have decided to participate in Budgetball to help keep their workers informed of business and budgeting practices. During their annual meeting, teams of Bricklayers will compete in the Budgetball Challenge.

They conducted a Budgetball tournament as one more way to keep their students informed on public policy concerning the financial challenges for our nation.

The Washington Center Civic Engagement Fair

Thousands of college students from over 600 Universities come to Washington, DC each year to participate in The Washington Internship Program. In addition to internships, students must complete a civic engagement requirement as part of their experience. The National Academy of Public Administration will offer Budgetball and fiscal responsibility as one of the civic engagement options for students participating during the fall semester. -

Youth Serve America, a service learning organization, will host a Budgetball training session for over 30 teachers that are highlighting financial literacy skills for high school students in their classrooms across the country. The teachers will learn how to take the teaching out of the classroom and onto the field with Budgetball. The session is part of a Learn and Serve America Conference in Crystal City.

Budgetball HBCU Civic Engagement Initiative Training Academy

Over the course of three days, ten students who were each hand selected by the President of their HBCU will attend a Budgetball Scholar training in Washington, D.C.
